Latest In Hot Headwear

It's amazing how current fashion will influence bridal accessories.
Particularly what you wear on your head! In my time on Bride magazine I have witnessed the almost medieval crown look that emerged in the early 90's, little sparkly tiaras galore giving way to fascinators with netting reminiscent of the 1940's, feathers, lacy headbands, Juliet caps (wherefore art though Romeo?) and intricate headpieces, flower pieces and never out of style veils.  A veil worn with your wedding dress gives it all a traditional look. The placement of it on your head can mark the era. They perched them high up 30 or 40 years back but these days most brides favour them low at the back of the neck. The more pretty lace Senorita style looks great draped right over the top framing your face.

Back in the late 60's and early 70's  - think Yoko Ono and Bianca Jagger - the chic large hat was all the go but what about now?

Here's my picks:

  • Pretty Ribbon (above)
  • Fresh flowers -(always my favourite - below)
  • 1920's influenced beaded head bands - scroll down!
  • Plain cream or white headbands
  • Soft long veils (never out of style!)

All gorgeous!  Try them all on and just see what suits your face and your dress!
