Divine Star Inspirations!

I just love the Golden Globes! It's the first major Hollywood event for the year featuring a generous amount of couture gowns and fab up-do hairstyles guaranteed to inspire contemporary brides. Let's face it the wedding has become one's red-carpet moment now that our lives are bereft of balls, formal parties and dressing for the opera. It must have been fun in the old days having all those frock occasions  but these days, unless you are an A-Lister, the one time for dressing up and feeling special is your wedding day. That's why when you check the images from "The Globes" and see white, silver, pink or cream gowns, you can picture yourself sweeping up the aisle (or wherever you may be tying the knot) in just that type of creation.

So anyway - here's my picks from this year. I love Jennifer Garner's pretty soft hair and the shape of her sexy dress (see above) - it may be a bit grey but if it was in sparkly white that would be hot!!

I think Tony Collette (above) looks just fantastic. It's a hot dress but you would need to be a pretty modern gal to pull it off as a bride.

I adore Emily Blunt (above in the pink!). She looks so soft and gorgeous in this feminine dress and I really think thats a great shape for a wedding gown. Beautiful colour and lovely accessories - elegant understated bling. Love the neckline.

Ruffles! So popular now and Christina Hendricks (above in that glowing gold!) and Chloe Sevigny (below) are working this look so well that their frocks have won me over. Daring for a bride but why not?? Very fashion-forward.

As for Drew Barrymore - I know that weird little sticky out part of the dress - (what the? - is it a shelf??) -  is a tad off putting but isn't her hair and make up divine and the rest of the dress is pretty fab? Yes I think so but it's only my opinion.

The next bit of star-watching, frock spotting is the Oscars. You lucky brides -  Nothing more fun than searching for your perfect wedding outfit.

Until next time.
